MARCH 2013: Revised proposals for "regeneration" unveiled.
Throughout the month of March, Limerick City Council's "Office of Regeneration" held a serious of "public consultations" in the target areas to seek feedback from residents on their revised proposals.
The engagement with the communities was farcical and contemptuous. Residents with presented with crude plans lacking in real detail and were asked to give written answers to questionnaires, which they were expected to sign off on despite the fact that they had no access to independent expert advice.
The Ballinacurra Weston Residents' Alliance offer a good account of the proceedings on their blog
