Built in the !950's as a solution to inadequate housing and
city slums, Ballinacurra Weston is situated on the southside
of the City. Less than half the estate is currentely targeted
for regeneration (pictured above).

Limerick City Council and the remainder have bought or are in
the process of buying their own homes.

for the area is 35.7%
The Unemployment Rate the area is 9.1%
has been labeled by the media as a 'gangland' estate, although
the vast majority of residents are law abiding and decent.
